There's the idea that if a witch casts a spell and then talks about it afterward, it'll weaken the energy of the spell - particularly with banishments. This is usually a more common concept around one-time spells, or with sending thoughtforms/spirits/energy/etc to go do a task, rather than a spell the witch rejuvenates regularly over time. Thoughts?
I've found this to be true in my own experience. If I'm bringing something to me, I try to focus on it for a good chunk of time regularly until it's done - basically having a running mantra about it in the back of my mind. But if I'm sending something out, I just do it the once and then never talk about it or think about it or journal about it.

I'll talk in general terms about it, but avoid too many details as to specific incantations used. I also keep it general about effects I was going for.
Now if I'm doing a tandem working with another witch, then all details up front.
