Anyone read anything interesting and new recently? I just started a book on Myths and Legends as well as re-reading the Eddas (I'm a history book girl to the core for the most part). I also picked up History's Worst Decisions and a few D&D books for spell references (which makes for some super interesting spell work by the way). I'm always on the look out for new and interesting reference and history books to read and add to my growing knowledge base!

I've been reading a series called The Blackdagger Brotherhood by JR Ward. There are a lot of books in the series but its sooo good I cant stop reading. It does have some major adult content but its a very good series I highly recommend it

I'm working on a couple of books right now. "Magic on the Breath" by Tylluan Penry (check her YouTube channel) and "Practical Sigil Magic" by Frater U D. I've got about 10 more on my Kindle that I haven't started yet.
I recently read a couple books by Orion Foxwood: " The Flame in the Cauldron" and "The Candle and the Crossroads." Both were very good. Foxwood is a conjuror from Appalachia, where I grew up, so his take on that style of folk magic is very interesting to me.

Oh! I have that book by Frater! I thought it was rather interesting. I haven't worked much with it as I am terrible at getting sigils to work (even with directions) so I've been doing more visualization and affirmation work

I can recommend 'RHS Botany For Gardeners' and 'Bushcraft 101' for anyone who's interested. Also 'The essential guide to psychic powers' if you like meditation, divination etc. I haven't been reading any fiction books lately - I'm mostly doing research at the moment

I am terrible at getting sigils to work (even with directions) so I've been doing more visualization and affirmation work Mine are hit or miss. I've had some great success - like one I did to get my guitar-playing motivation back. It was about mid-december when I dispatched it. Week or so went by and nothing. Then, on Christmas day, my daughter's boyfriend (who also plays) gave me one of his electric guitars. He was moving to Florida for college and was going to leave it behind anyway. And it was the exact model and color I have wanted for as long as I can remember. I've only put it down in the last couple of weeks when my spoons ran out. Others are still in the works.

Miss peregrines home for peculiar children, has nothing to do with the craft but it's a great book, 1 & 2 are the best, there is good but not as great as the others.

I just remembered a historical fantasy series I read in my early teens called The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness by Michelle Paver. It's set in the Stone Age, about a boy who can talk to wolves. There's a lot of bush/wildcraft involved in the book as well as (animal) spirits, demons and magick.
