"There once was a woman; her soul danced like fire. She was in love with a girl, with the counterpart of water. Each day her flame would brighten, growing in warmth, only to be ignored by those that loved Water most. Although she struggled, her flame remained bright, attracting wandering eyes to her marvelous sight, and although they were drawn, by her warmth and her light, they refused to come closer, too afraid of the fight. Everything the woman touched went up in flames, her love was uncontrollable, and for the aftermath, she was to blame. The fear she instilled left her lonely and cold, for Fire was untamable, and her soul was strong; the fight was what drew her, the counterpart, Water, for her eyes were wide, and her hopes were stronger. She was willing to fight, for that which she wanted, but she could not be careless, or else awful things happened. For although they were in love, and it was the strongest weapon, her soul would drown that which she beckoned.
Fire was fragile, to say the least, but she was also passionate and strong, never a victim to defeat. The evil words of others put her down, but with the support of Water, she would refuse to drown. Each day they became stronger, but broken apart, unable to be touched by the counterpart they loved. Finally, the flame was strong enough, burning with passion, unable to be snuffed out by some wanton action. So Water smiled, and stepped a little closer, feeling the flame warm her, and bring her blood to a boil. Fire became fearful, watching her lover dissolve. She filled the air around them, and found the resolve, for Air could touch Fire, make her burn stronger, and their existence together, made the world a little brighter. And so they found love, Fire and her Water, and held each other close, refusing departure. Love burns brighter than any flame, and with you, my Fire, my future came."
This is a poem/story of sorts I wrote yesterday. I'm very proud of it, and thought to maybe share it on here. ^^
