As a witch who started out in a large and old city, I work with city spirits. City spirits are beautiful <3 Since I moved to suburbia, I had a hard time adapting. I have a small token from my home-city, so I invite a part of it's spirit over to have coffee quite often. But I have not made any new connections with the suburban spirits. So I'd love to hear your experiences working both with urban and suburban city/town/area spirits, tied to structures made by humans!~ Another little thing I wanted to discuss are specifically the astral imprints of cities. In my experience, as structures that are filled with all sorts of massive energy flows, and as actual entities, cities have an astral side to them as well. I have not interacted with any spirits/entities inhabiting those astral imprints, but I've visited on occasion. The layouts, the mapping of the astral city was somewhat different. The heart was pretty much the same, but the ares around curved differently, some buildings were missing, others were present instead. I thought that was interesting. So I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences with this as well

My experience with spirits in suburbia has relied on seasons. I don't tend to encounter/sense/conceptualize spirits as individual entities, but more like an atmosphere or aura. And this has always been strongest in spring and fall in suburbs. Now that I'm putting this into words, I'm face-palming and muttering to myself "liminality, duh!" Suburbs have been considered liminal spaces. I'm not sure how much I buy into that, but it might help you out?
