Okay so y'all are gonna think I'm an idiot but I bought a catnip plant and it's just starting to thrive, but I swear every cat in the neighbourhood now camps out in my garden. I tried keeping the plant indoors but it doesn't grow as well, and just looks generally droopy. The cats don't actually eat it but they vigorously bash their heads into it and knock the pot over, leaving the poor little plant to be squashed and sat on. Aside from giving in and letting the cats shred the catnip, is there anything I could do to try and save my lil plant?

Hahaha, we did the same thing and the local felines annihilated our catnip. I have no idea, but it was hilarious and you described it perfectly xD

I have a lil baby catnip plant and I bought it as impulse but I don't know what to do with it. I'm allergic to cats and don't know what else to use it for.

spiritofthemoon Use it in spells? It sounds like catnip is used mostly for love and beauty spells (as well as building a bond between you and another cat). Or you can look up its medicinal uses, make tea with it.

You could put chicken wire around it, but idk how well that will hold up, another thing (if it's planted in the ground) is to break up bamboo poles into pieces about three inches long and sticking them in the ground near the plant so that atleast one inch is sticking out of the ground. Planting spikey plants, or cat repelling plants around it could also help, as cats hate spikes. Ooh and an idea that just popped into my head, a sprinkler/ mister/ whatever that sprays water. Tell me if any of this works out for you, happy witching!!
