Greetings all!
I'm Shane - I also go by Hickory. I live in Southern Maryland presently...been here about 14 years. Originally grew up in East TN.
I've been a polytheist all my life, but waited until my late 40s to start openly practicing. I'm in a mixed-faith relationship. My Wife of 20 years is Christian, as is my younger daughter. My elder daughter (19) is too busy with her social life to settle into practice yet, but leans Pagan like her Dad. My two boys are agnostic.
My father was a ceremonial magician (Left Hand Path). I follow the Vanir of the Norse Pantheon. Freyja is my Matron; Freyr my Patron. My witchcraft is eclectic, but I focus on divination, knot magick, candle magick, and sigils. Looking to expand into herbs eventually, as I do most of the cooking at home.
Great to meet everyone! Paganhick is my Tumblr profile also.

Nice to meet another Norse Pantheon person! I actually work with Odin on a regular basis. What kind of divination do you do?

I do pendulum dowsing, Tarot, and runes (Elder Futhark). I have the most experience with dowsing - I work with Spirit through that medium almost daily.

Lol! I had a problem subconsciously influencing outcomes for myself. What I ended up doing was what I supposed you would call an enchantment. I called upon the Elemental Guardians to help with that and have been getting alot more accuracy for my own questions.
If you look on my Tumblr page I wrote out the whole ritual - maybe something you can adapt for yourself. It's one of the Violetwitchcraft Challenge Days.

Welcome to the forum I hope you are enjoying it . I absolutely love tarot . My husband is christian and his family is not happy that I am not. Sometimes we argue and he wants me to change but I only think we argue when his family is harrasing him about it. Do you ever have issues with your wife? Just curious if im the only one lol.

My Wife is very respectful of my beliefs and practices - she's never given me a hard time about it. She was very curious as to how I came to believe what I do because my family is much more religiously conservative than hers, but when I explained it she understood where I was coming from and, although she doesn't share my beliefs, would never judge me for them.
She's also very accepting of my friends who are also Pagan/witches. She treats everyone the same, no matter what they believe. She's a wonderful lady and I'm a lucky man!

My extended family would probably be shocked...but then again maybe not. My father was a Left Hand Path guy, and they just conveniently ignored it. Probably the same with me. I don't plaster it all over Facebook, but I don't really hide it, either.
My wife's family are all Methodist. Mine are Seventh Day Adventists. Hers are occasional churchgoers. Mine go several times a week and praise their God publicly every day on FB. That's why she was so curious about my transition.
