This Spring season has started off terribly for my rose plants, their leaves were being chewed on and I checked them and found green critters on the leaves, just munching away. Sadly I had to go on an extended trip away from home and came back to find them nearly leafless. Ive searched up the pest and found it to be sawfly larvae, and I was wondering if any of you guys have had this problem and knew how to deal with it?

I've never had them attack any of my plants, but for any kind of bug, a light spraying of vinegar on the plant wherever they are could help kill and keep them away naturally. That's what I do with most of mine, but be careful, just put some in a spray bottle mixed with some water and LIGHTLY spray them; try not to get the bottom of the plant either or get it in the ground near the roots. Lastly, it will stink of vinegar, but the next time it rains that will wipe it off, or, if you're satisfied with the vinegar, you can hose it off yourself. I hope this helps and happy witching!
