Hello! I'm Takuna (not my real name. Yet) and I'm from Romania (Europe). I'm 15 (turning 16 on the 6th of June) and I am a Hellenic witchling. I am still in the broom closet (only my friends know) due to the fact that my mom is a hardcore Christian. Actually, the whole country is Christian. Romania is one of those countries with an official religion, stated somewhere in the Constitution.
I've begun researching witchcraft at the end of February. I just found myself googling "witchcraft". Out of nowhere.
I've been interested in Hellenism and the Greek Gods ever since I could read, but my mom didn't like talking about them, so I always did research on my own.
I can't practise and I can't do any kind of big ritual/spell because my mother is home 24/7. All the damn time. She works from home.
I'm interested in finding a group of witches I can talk to about all the stuff I can't talk about with the people around me. I'd also like to join a coven someday.
This was probably a long ass thread to read. Sorry.

Hi from the US and welcome to the forum. If you have need any help, have questions or just need to talk im always here along with so many others that are as well. As far as practicing is there a park or forest preserves near by you can always practice your craft there.  |

Omg thank the gods finally someone my age!! I've been practicing for three years now, and my mother is as well a Christian worth her salt. Message me if you ever need to talk and if you need to learn sneaky spells and stuff, I can promise you, I've become a master at that, happy witching!!

Hi Takuna- I'm Hickory, or Shane, also from the US.
I was in the closet for some time, as y wife and younger daughter are Christian (though not church-goers so much). But I'm fully disclosed now and practice openly at home. It takes time and, for sure, many Christians would not be ok with it - my wife is just very pragmatic about religion in general. She believes there's more than one legitimate path - very different than most American Christians.

Hey, I grew up right next to you - in Ukraine, I know the struggle!
Internet is a great place to do witchy things, and I think you could really look into techno witchcraft because that all happens on your computer~
There are many small inconspicuous things you can do, even if your mother is around <3 I'm glad you found your way here, this whole witch gang thing is going to be awesome!

Hi Takuna! I'm Missa and I'm also hellenic - revivalist more than recon. I've found that the Theoi are really understanding of those of us who can't do big showy rituals. More often than not, simply thinking about them or praying to them is all you really need to do. They especially like when you are CLEAN, which is something that seems really innocuous to most. Heya, Takuna! UI'm Monika. I just turned 16 in April, so I understand the whole "in the broom closet" thing more than you probably know! Lol. At least luck is on my side. Even though my mom is a devout christian, so often takes a lot of the natural/witchy elements and practices them on the side (crystals, black salt, burning herbs and incense, blessing the house, these are just a few), so normally I can get by with a lot of things with her. If you ever need any help, feel free to contact me. ^^
